Up until recently, most websites and online games, particularly for kids, relied primarily on Flash for their animation, music and sound FX. But HTML5 has gotten stronger ever since Adobe™ announced that they would no longer be providing support for Flash for mobile. The gaming and kids content industries have been adjusting to this reality and in the last few months we have begun to see a substantial growth of HTML5 kids content coming out, including from big brands like PBS and Nickelodeon; we expect that 2014 will be a turning point.
However, in the meantime, our work is cut out for us. In the light of the current reality, KIDO’Z is optimizing our tools to support HTML5, and has begun a search for cool, fun kid-friendly HTML5 content.
