How to Customize Kids’ Web Content Access

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

At KIDO’Z, content is king.

But not just any content.

All KIDO’Z content is hand-picked by loving parents around the world in many different languages. This content is then screened by our moderation team before it is allowed to join the public domain.

Only the best and most kid-friendly kids’ content makes it through our moderation team to get the KIDO’Z seal of approval.

And so, KIDO’Z brings the top kids’ content to children globally in a safe, fun and easy-to-use environment, and filters content for each child based on age, gender and language.

As we know and respect that parents have differing beliefs and preferences, the KIDO’Z system allows parents to customize their child’s access to this content.

What this means is that as a parent, you can easily extend your control over your child’s access to KIDO’Z content through the Parental Control Account.

Here, you have two options:

  • To allow all KIDO’Z content and then manually block content that you do not want your kid to access, or
  • To block all KIDO’Z content and then manually approve content that you do allow your kid to access

Here is a quick tutorial showing how to control access to KIDO’Z content:

How to Rate and Review Kids’ Web Content

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

KIDO’Z content can be personalized by parents and teachers in many different ways, and one of these ways is through the rating and reviewing of content.

Websites, video channels and games can be quickly and easily rated through the Parental Control Account by simply clicking on the number of stars applicable to your rating. To review content, all you need to do is fill in the description below the rating box.

The KIDO’Z community is made up of parents and teachers of KIDO’Z users, and this system allows the community members to share their kids’ experiences with specific kids’ content.

Members of the community can discuss the content with other parents and teachers and in doing so, can discover what other kids enjoy and can see how content is generally rated by the community. This can be done either by name or anonymously, whichever you prefer.

Here is a short tutorial showing how to rate and review content in KIDO’Z:

Overcoming your Kid’s Internet Language Barrier

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Kids communicate, read books, watch television and play games in their own language, so why should their Internet experience be any different?

Children today are an avid Internet user group and, as they are accessing the Internet from all over the world, they require content in many different languages. As there is a huge supply of kids’ content available on the Internet, it is just matter of finding the best content in your kid’s language.

KIDO’Z Speaks Your Kid’s Language

KIDO’Z does this for you by giving you the ability to customize content for your child based on his/her language.

To ensure that your child is accessing content in his/her mother-tongue, you can set KIDO’Z to show only content in his/her preferred language. And if your child is multi-lingual, you can choose for content to be available in up to 3 languages from a selection of over 160 different languages.

This may be done through the Account page of the Parental Control Account under Language Preferences/Kid’s Details.

KIDO’Z Speaks Your Language

And for you, the parent, the KIDO’Z application itself is easily changed into your own language. What this means is that the entire application from the User Interface to the Parental Control Account can be changed into your native language from a choice of 17 languages, to make Parental Control even simpler for you.

This setting is available on the log-in page of your Parental Control Account as well as in your Account section under Parent’s Details. All you need to do is to select your preferred language from a drop-down list.

To show you how to change the content language settings for your child and how to change the application language, here is our full video tutorial:
