How to Customize Kids’ Web Content Access

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

At KIDO’Z, content is king.

But not just any content.

All KIDO’Z content is hand-picked by loving parents around the world in many different languages. This content is then screened by our moderation team before it is allowed to join the public domain.

Only the best and most kid-friendly kids’ content makes it through our moderation team to get the KIDO’Z seal of approval.

And so, KIDO’Z brings the top kids’ content to children globally in a safe, fun and easy-to-use environment, and filters content for each child based on age, gender and language.

As we know and respect that parents have differing beliefs and preferences, the KIDO’Z system allows parents to customize their child’s access to this content.

What this means is that as a parent, you can easily extend your control over your child’s access to KIDO’Z content through the Parental Control Account.

Here, you have two options:

  • To allow all KIDO’Z content and then manually block content that you do not want your kid to access, or
  • To block all KIDO’Z content and then manually approve content that you do allow your kid to access

Here is a quick tutorial showing how to control access to KIDO’Z content:

Have a great week!

KIDO’Z for Touchscreens, Netbooks and Nettops

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Touchscreen technology and KIDO’Z.

Makes sense, right?

Kids’ Internet should be fun, interactive and challenging - and KIDO’Z makes this possible.

Internet navigation was revolutionized with the creation of home computer touchscreen monitors, and no-one loves to reach out and touch a computer screen more than a young child.

Many of the latest netbooks and nettops also offer touch screen technology making these ideal for kids.

The move into touchscreen technology was not only the next logical step for KIDO’Z. KIDO’Z was born to be navigated in this way.

KIDO’Z was created to be navigated not only at the ‘click of a mouse’, but also at the ‘touch of an image’.

KIDO’Z uses big, colorful image icons perfect for both young kids and touch screens, to make Internet browsing as intuitive and as interactive as possible.

Every item in the KIDO’Z kids user interface can be accessed with a simple touch - from accessing websites, games and videos, to adding favorites, and more.

Children generally only gain control of the mouse at around 3 years old. With touch screen though, there is no need for mouse co-ordination, which means that even younger kids can enjoy KIDO’Z.

Watch this two-year old explore KIDO’Z in this way:

This is the way of the future. A kid, KIDO’Z and a touchscreen. Endless possibilities.
