So what’s new?
You all know how great KIDO’Z already is as a kids environment to browse sites, watch videos and play games , this new version takes Kids’ Internet to the next level with its introduction of a unique social layer for kids.

KIDO’Z FRIENDS
Your kids can now socialize and communicate with other KIDO’Z friends, friends being other kids, you the parents, grandparents or any other family members. All friends are added and managed by you the parents via the parental control area , ensuring that your kids are safe at all times and can communicate only with persons you have approved.

KIDO’Z MAIL
The KIDO’Z MAIL enables your Kids to send and receive emails and e-cards, the KIDO’Z MAIL visual editor includes drawing tools and libraries of animated backgrounds and stickers that can be added allowing your kids to express themselves and their creativity and to communicate even if they still don’t know how to read or write.

KIDO’Z PLACES
KIDO’Z PLACES is where friends, self-expression and creativity meet , each kid on KIDO’Z now gets a PLACE where he can edit his virtual space and create his identity , his avatar. Friends can visit each others places and communicate with each other directly from there.

KIDO’Z PLUS
The new version also introduces the first KIDO’Z Premium Package, KIDO’Z PLUS has even more specialized tools and content, and is available at a small monthly fee. KIDO’Z PLUS includes:
• KIDO’Z STATISTICS, which gives parents detailed usage reports of their child’s KIDO’Z usage
• KIDO’Z SECURITY Advanced Security Settings
• Full Access to avatar styling
• Full Access to room editing
• Tons of cool items for the email

How do I upgrade ?
If you have KIDO’Z installed on your computer upgrade should start automatically next time you start the application. You can also just go directly to our homepage and install it from there http://kidoz.net

June has been officially declared as National Internet Safety Month by the US Senate and much has been said about how to keep kids safe on the Internet.

But while the main focus has been on the most frightening Internet danger - being the online predator and the danger of meeting people on the net - this is not the most common danger that our young kids are facing… Actually for many, it is not the danger at all, as many young kids can not even communicate over the Internet as they aren’t able to read or write.

The most prevalent risk that these young kids are facing while using the Internet is in fact the content that they are being exposed to, and this danger is often under-estimated by many parents.

Not only dangerous, but also inappropriate, content for kids is everywhere on the net - and not only to be found in adult porn sites.

Imagine your 4 year old kid watching an ordinary news site after a terror attack or plane crash - the images there can be terrifying for a small child.

Or even picture your young child watching a National Geographic clip of a kill. To a sensitive and innocent child sometimes even watching Bambi losing his mom is too much to take.

We, as parents, need to understand that although the Internet offers great unlimited content for kids, at the same time it hosts an even larger amount of content that can harm your kids forever.

Our job as parents is to make sure that our kids are exposed only to content that suits them. You need to be in control!

Even though this month has been declared official Internet Safety month, we at KIDO’Z live and breathe Internet Safety all year round, 24 hours a day, making sure that your kids always have a safe Internet experience.

We developed within KIDO’Z a multi-layer safety system that protects your kids and makes sure that they are only viewing content that is appropriate for them.

This safety system includes:

Public Content Moderation
No content is allowed into the KIDO’Z public domain without a professional adult reviewing it; not a system but a human personally checks all content.

Automatic Active Security System
This system makes sure, at all times, that your kid is not watching content that hasn’t been approved. It does so by automatically blocking links to unauthorized content,  by blocking scripts and downloads that might lead to exposure to unwanted content, and so on…

Parent Moderation Tools
Maybe your child is afraid of Bambi, or maybe doesn’t like Barbie? You know your kid(s) best, so if you know of or see content that is not right for him/her, you can choose to tighten the content rules and to block any content that you wish.

Personal Customizing of the Security Level
At KIDO’Z we allow each parent to customize the security level and create a set of rules for the system that will protect your kid to that chosen level.
